Is Snow Due To Global Warming?

Is someone tracking Al Gore?  I only ask because the godfather of man-made global warming has a mysterious knack for bringing cold weather with him.  If I had to guess about his location I’d say it was somewhere between Atlanta, Georgia; Columbia, South Carolina and the Northeastern U.S. area because those places are getting snow…lots of snow.

It’s not all that weird that it snows in the Northeast, though this year it is creating more impact than recent winters including thousands of canceled flights and major road closures, but in the Southeastern cities of Atlanta and Columbia snow isn’t exactly the most common type of precipitation.  In fact, while the entire East Coast is getting hit pretty hard by winter cold and snow, Atlanta and Columbia are getting snow the likes of which hasn’t been seen since the nineteenth century.  Yep, both Atlanta and Columbia have snow on the ground for the Christmas holiday for the first time since the 1880′s.

Please, someone contact Mr. Gore so he can tell me exactly how man-made global warming is causing all the snow in the Southeast.  Better yet, contact the Nobel Prize winning climatologist…uh, meteorologist…uh…anyway, contact Al Gore and send him to a glacier somewhere.  Maybe his presence will bring enough cold to keep them from melting.

Record Low July Temps at LAX

There’s a heat wave in the northeast U.S. and that’s making the news on TV and radio every day.  All that coverage of a heat wave and people “suffering” in heat many of us take for granted is used in subtle ways to bolster the fraudulent man-made global warming argument.   However, the anti-global warming news of record low temperatures in Australia and Los Angeles barely gets mentioned.

In a world where the main stream media was objective you might hear about Australia’s coldest day in 100 years.  Now, if the hoax that is anthropogenic global warming had any validity and global temperatures were trending higher wouldn’t record low temperatures be nearly impossible to achieve?  You could ask the people in Isiford, Australia where the record low was recorded what they think about global warming’s effects.  You might also ask other Australians in nearby locales where temperatures were a full 12 degrees Celsius below average.

How about Los Angeles?  It’s one of the most media dense areas in the in the United States but have you heard about the unusually cool summer weather they’re having on the left coast?  On Friday, July 9th the temperature at LAX was recorded at 67 degrees…the lowest temperature for this time of year since 1926.  Is the liberal media so invested in global warming that a record low temperature is barely mentioned?

Information about record low temperatures around the world is very important as it clearly questions, and potentially refutes, the hoax of man-made global warming.  More importantly that refuting Al Gore’s favorite fiction is defeating the massive Cap and Trade legislationawaiting passage in the U.S. Congress….legislation to defeat a non-existent problem while applying up to $3 Trillion in new taxes on YOU, the American taxpayer.

Spokane, Washington In Winter

Usually, late May in the United States is considered to be fairly warm…after all, it’s spring and summer will soon follow.    But May, according to the Global Warming hoaxers like Al Gore, should be getting warmer and warmer every year because humans are causing temperatures to trend higher by producing “greenhouse gases”.  The people in Spokane, Washington might have reason to question that idea since they experienced a record low temperature on May 24th.

Spokane’s record low temperature Monday was 32 degrees breaking the old record of 35 degrees set in 1975.  Freezing.  Low temperatures in the surrounding area were slightly below freezing and Spokane’s high temperature on Sunday was a full 10 degrees below normal.  Also, Spokane’s temperature for the month of May has been 2.4 degrees below average.

How could all of this be possible if Global temperatures are trending higher all of the time?  Maybe Al Gore would like to address this interesting development.

Maybe this Anthropogenic Global Warming (APG) stuff has something to it…I mean, when you find an article in the November edition of the Monthly Weather Review that says “The Arctic seems to be warming up,” and the article bases the statement on “Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers” you have to take it seriously don’t you?   Well, not really.  It turns out the report of warming in the Arctic in this case is from November 1922.

I really got a chuckle out of the 1922 article when I saw it on IHateMedia.com and realized that almost nothing has changed.  The alarmist eggheads perpetrating the APG hoax on the general public are still using unscientific reports to bolster their case.  Yeah, I said it.  They’re still using anecdotes instead of science and it’s being done at the highest levels including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change at the United Nations.  Don’t believe me?  They did it in their 2007 report that got them the Nobel Peace Prize along with alarmist Al Gore and it came to light during “Glaciergate” and was blogged about by Wacky Global Warming News.

In an interesting side note, 1922 is not on the Union of Concerned Scientists list of the 20 hottest years of the 20th century.  How could that be?

Professor Phil Jones

If you’ve adopted Man-Made Global Warming as your religion you may want to reserve space in the next cult de-programming session…there’s been  no global warming since 1995 according to one of your very own cult leaders – Professor Phil Jones.  That’s not all.  The former head of the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit has made a few other interesting admissions you might want to know about.

Jones, the guy at the heart of Climategate, has admitted that one of the reasons he didn’t respond to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests by researchers and skeptics is that he may have actually lost the information they wanted.  Lost?  Yes, he may have lost the information that is the basis for a number of climate change claims including those of the famous “Hockey Stick Graph” prepared by Dr. Michael Mann and used ad nauseam by Al Gore in his slide show.  The information is also the basis of claims made in reports by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) at the United Nations…reports that are used by politicians to justify limiting individual freedom and raising taxes though they’re riddled with errors.

Professor Jones has “also conceded the possibility that the world was warmer in medieval times than now – suggesting global warming may not be a man-made phenomenon.” Really?  A period of warming that can’t be attributed to cars and SUVs burning fossil fuels, coal-burning electrical plants, manufacturing, or use of incandescent light bulbs?  Could it be that the earth goes through periods of warming and cooling due to factors not related to the activity of mankind?  That’s pretty much what he admitted to, isn’t it?

Another interesting admission by Professor Jones is that there had been two other more recent periods which experienced warming similar to the medieval period, from 1910 to 1940 and from 1975 to 1998, but he said these could be explained by natural phenomena!  Wait a second…why does that time period of 1975 to 1998 look so familiar?  Got it.  It looks familiar because 12 of the 20 hottest years on record, according the Union of Concerned Scientists, occur during the 1975 to 1998 period.  So, 12 of the 20 hottest years on record can be explained by natural, not man-made, phenomena.

This is just getting too easy.  The hucksters and hoaxers promoting the farce that is Anthropogenic Global Warming are deep in hiding – possibly inside igloos.  Anyone seen Al Gore around?  The esteemed Professor Michael E. Mann, creator of the Hockey Stick Graph in Al Gore’s super exciting slide show?  How about the IPCC’s Drs. Murari Lal or Rajendra Pachauri of Glaciergate infamy?  No, I haven’t seen any of them lately and I’ll bet you haven’t either.  It seems they don’t have anything to say as American cities receive record amounts of snow.

While people like Gore, Mann, Lal and Pachauri are getting paid to peddle their Man-Made Global Warming farce and scumbag politicians plot to take our freedom and money from us based on the farce, cities are getting snowed under.  Baltimore is experiencing record snow fall that’s already nearly 10 inches above the previous mark.  It’s the snowiest winter in Philidelphia history and the snow hasn’t stopped as of this entry.  President Obama’s adopted hometown of Chicago has shattered local records for snowfall.  The nation’s capitol is essentially closed for business (thankfully) due to snow and New York City is under a blizzard watch.  Global Warming indeed.

Despite all the snow and cold temperatures politicians are still ready to pass sweeping “Climate Change Legislation” like the Waxman-Markey bill also known as Cap and Trade (H.R. 2454).  Such legislation cannot combat non-existent Anthropogenic Global Warming and the authors know it.  All it can do is implement a radical environmental agenda that limits your freedom and raises taxes to levels previously unseen.  If you want to live in freedom you’ll get your Congressmen to vote against this legislation.  If you want your kids to be able to keep some of what they earn you’ll tell Congress you don’t want this.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) at the United Nations can’t seem to get much right.  Recently it’s been found that the IPCC’s 938-page Fourth Assessment Report, which won the Nobel Peace Prize for the panel in 2007, was full of errors regarding Himalayan Glaciers melting and disappearing ice in the Swiss Alps, Andes, and Africa.

Now the report that many of the world’s politicians refer to when trying to take our freedom and money has been shown to contain more errors. According to the Nobel Peace Prize winning report, fifty-five percent (55%) of the Netherlands is below sea level.  No surprise, the report is wrong.

The reason the amount of Netherlands territory below sea level is in the report is that sea level is one of the ways man-made global warming hoaxers scare people into accepting more taxes and less freedom.  Sea level rise, according to climate change proponents, indicates melting of the polar ice cap and glaciers.   But, there’s a problem…in this case it’s wrong, incorrect, way off.  How far off?  By more than half.  According to the Dutch national statistics office CBS, just 20% of the country is below sea level and some other estimates are up to 26%.  Not fifty-five percent.  Isn’t science supposed to be precise?

According to Al Gore (who shared the Nobel with the IPCC), man-made global warming is settled science.  President Obama stated that there was “overwhelming evidence” of climate change during his first State of the Union address. I have to disagree with both Al Gore and President Obama.  The science can’t be settled and the evidence can’t be “overwhelming” if the most prominent report on the subject is riddled with unsupported speculation, anecdotes by biased activists, and outright errors.

Wow, I guess science isn’t what it used to be.  At least not at the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) of the United Nations.  In 2007 the IPCC shared the Nobel Peace Prize (along with Al Gore) for their global warming/climate change report.  It’s a report that politicians around the world point to when they want to take away our money and freedom to fight global warming.  Well, at least part of the report is less about science than it is BS.

It turns out that the IPCC has been doing very little science regarding glaciers and mountain ice melt.  In fact the news coming out sounds more like the IPCC is a bunch of third-graders lifting information from the encyclopedia for their report.  First, news broke that the IPCC had included unsubstantiated “speculation” by one scientist contained in an 8 year old article to make a false claim that Himalayan Glaciers would melt by 2035.  Then it was learned that the IPCC also drastically overstated both the size of Himalayan Glaciers and the rate at which they were melting.  Next, Dr. Murari Lal, the scientist behind the part of the report with the bogus claims about Himalayan Glaciers admitted he included the information in order to put pressure on politicians to take action.  There’s also money at the heart of all of this.  But are the Himalayan Glacier errors the end of the story?  Not by a long shot.

The UK Telegraph reports the IPCC has also played fast and loose with their claims about mountain ice melting in the Andes, Alps, and Africa due to global warming.  How?  Claims in this “scientific” report about disappearing ice in the Andes, Alps, and Africa are actually based on an article in a mountain climbing magazine and a student’s dissertation.  The claims about the disappearing mountain ice were in a table of the IPCC’s report entitled “Selected observed effects due to changes in the cryosphere produced by warming”.  It says reductions in mountain ice have been observed from the loss of ice climbs in the Andes, Alps and in Africa between 1900 and 2000.  The problem?  The claims are based on guesses and anecdotes – NOT SCIENCE.  Also, both sources were written by known global warming activists not by objective scientific observers.

Global Warming is far from “settled science” and in fact it’s looking more and more like there’s no science behind it at all. Unfortunately, governments are taking action to “fight climate change” based in part on the massive load of crap in the IPCC report that is being given unwarranted credibility in many media outlets.  Keep yourself informed and let your representative know you’re aware of the scam.  Your money and your freedom are at stake.

Global Warming Activist and Murderer Osama Bin Laden

Congratulations to all of you who want to end Western Civilization in order to combat Anthropogenic Global Warming, you now have another high profile supporter – Osama Bin Laden.  In a move I’m sure will be lauded by Global Warming activists around the world, Osama Bin Laden has condemned the United States for its supposed role in climate change and natural disasters stemming from it.

Though he is probably best known as a murdering islamic jihadist responsible for the death of thousands of Americans during the 9/11 attacks, he is apparently quite the environmentalist.  In his role as environmental watchdog he has previously released tapes mentioning global warming and has just released a tape that is dedicated to global warming.

In the new tape which aired on pro-terrorist Arab TV Al-Jazeera the murderous leader of al-Qaida said, “The effects of global warming have touched every continent.  Drought and deserts are spreading, while from the other floods and hurricanes unseen before the previous decades have now become frequent”.   Had it not been in Arabic and presented by someone who kills innocent people in the name of islam it could have been spoken by Nobel Laureate Al Gore.

Bin Laden went on to blame U.S. for rejecting the ridiculous Kyoto protocols to reduce greenhouse gases and called for a boycott to bring the “wheels of the American economy” to a halt.  You know, all the rhetoric you hear from the American left wing.  So, congratulations to all the Global Warming activists out there you finally have another leader for your cause who hates America as much as you do.

Himalayan Glacier Traverse

Glaciergate, that’s what it’s being called now.  Glaciergate is the continuing  story about how members of the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) lied when they published their 2007 Nobel Peace Prize winning report.  A report which claimed, among other things, that the Himalayan Glaciers would disappear by 2035 due to global warming.  Why would they lie?  What could they gain?  Well, as I said in my first Himalayan Glaciers entry it’s about money.

Glaciergate, and Global Warming in general, is really about money and power.  For politicians seeking power Global Warming is a convenient fraud on which to base restrictions upon individual behavior and taxes on every facet of life.  They’re already doing it in Europe and trying to do it in the United States.  For “scientists” Global Warming is still about money.  And how do scientists who don’t make a product get money?  They get it from grants.  Grants come from private individuals and foundations, charitable groups, and governments who have taxed their citizens.  Most of the time that means it’s your money being used.  In glaciergate a money trail is forming that appears to lead to the Chairman of the IPCC, Dr. Rajendra Pachauri.  As Christopher Booker of the UK Telegraph reports in Pachauri: the real story behind the Glaciergate scandal:

the scientist from whom this claim originated, Dr Syed Hasnain, has for the past two years been working as a senior employee of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), the Delhi-based company of which Dr Pachauri is director-general. Furthermore, the claim – now disowned by Dr Pachauri as chairman of the IPCC – has helped TERI to win a substantial share of a $500,000 grant from one of America’s leading charities, along with a share in a three million euro research study funded by the EU

Let’s recap…scientists employed by the United Nations, lauded by the Nobel Peace Prize committee, and funded by your hard-earned money have repeatedly lied about climate changes purported to be so serious that we all have to give up every modern convenience to prevent extinction of our species…did I miss anything there?  Oh, and where is Al Gore?  Why isn’t Al Gore talking about all of this?  I’ll tell you why.  He’s afraid of losing millions of dollars in the carbon credit market that his company is involved in.

Despite the mounting evidence that Global Warming is a hoax politicians are continuing their efforts to combat it.  Here in the United States the Congress is still trying to pass the Waxman-Markey Cap and Trade bill.  Do us all a favor and let your Congressmen and Senators know you are against Cap and Trade.
