Another Fly In The White House

I’m not saying that Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States, attracts flies but I can’t recall any other President being so plagued by them. Whether Obama attracts them or not, the lowly feces-eating insect says a lot about his presidency and ability to govern.

First, it says he is all too willing to bow to radical special interest groups like People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).  This fly that was buzzing Obama on June 22nd was not subjected to the same fate as the fly that succumbed to the Commander-in-Chief’s wrath in June of 2009.  PETA’s spokesman Bruce Friedrich said Obama shouldn’t kill flies and Obama clearly has complied.

Next, it calls into question Obama’s desire to control borders.  After all, if the President won’t keep nasty disease-infested flies out of the White House or at least capture them once they’ve entered, why should anyone believe he would keep criminal aliens out of the country?  It also makes me wonder if he’ll have the Department of Justice file a lawsuit against makers of bug zappers and fly paper…if he’ll do it to Arizona why wouldn’t he do to lawfully operating American companies?

Sometimes a fly is just a fly, sometimes it’s an interesting symbol of a presidency.

If you’ve ever listened to talk radio I’m sure you’ve heard some remarkably unintelligent sounding liberal callers who sound like they’re reading Democ-Rat talking points on health care reform.  Do you know why they sound that way?  Simple, they are reading talking points!  That’s right, they’re reading talking points from a website – BARACKOBAMA.COM – because they’re too stupid to form their own arguments.

Liberals are given three steps on completing the talk radio call in process.  The first step, “Listen, Then Call” orders the activist to listen to the show using a link to listen online, and gives them the ability to select a different show if they can’t get through to the first one they pick.  The liberal caller can select from variety of shows including Sean Hannity, Fred Thompson, The Savage Nation, and the Dennis Miller Show among others.  The second step called “Add Your Voice” tells the caller “Use the discussion points on the right in your conversation”.  The final step is to “Report Your Call” where the compliant left-winger sends a report about their call to President Obama’s website via email.

The website also includes “Calling Tips” telling the progressive activist caller to “Be polite” (usually ignored), and “Stay calm and firm” if the host challenges their views (Obama’s views actually).

Mystery solved.  Liberal callers anxious to spend your money to provide health care for liberals and uninsured illegal aliens are getting their marching orders from the Socialist in Chief (Peace Be Upon Him).  I’d tell you how to fight back against this but as a conservative you are able to do it yourself.

Obama Set To Win Award He Actually Deserves

President Barack Hussein Obama is on track to win another award which, in my opinion, is far more deserved than any he has won so far…including (especially) the Nobel Peace Prize.  What award?  The American Dhimmi of the Year 2009 award from readers of the website Jihad Watch.

What is a Dhimmi?  Well, “Dhimmi was the name applied by Arab-Muslim conquerors to non-Muslim populations who surrendered by treaty (dhimma) to Muslim domination.”  Given President Obama’s apologies to and behavior toward jihadists and their supporters, I believe the term Dhimmi applies quite well.  Of course this is true only if President Obama is a Christian as he claims.

To support the President, or his competitor for this award Jimmy Carter, you can Vote for the American who behaved in the most pusillanimous, abject, and/or suicidally stupid way in the face of Islamic supremacist bullying and intimidation, peaceful or violent

Hamas Offers Reward For Kidnapping Israeli Soldiers

What would you think if the United States was going to give money to a terrorist organization that is offering a reward to anyone who kidnaps a soldier in the military of one of our allies?  Well, that’s pretty much what’s happening.  The Obama administration pledged $900 million to the muslim terrorist organization Hamas who is offering the sum of one million Jordanian dinars (about $400k) to anyone who kidnaps an Israeli soldier and delivers them to Hamas.  It’s a new bounty reported by the Associated Press and repeated online in Deseret News, Jihad Watch, and other websites.

Hamas has asked Arabs in Israel to kidnap Israeli soldiers before but they haven’t previously been known to offer such a reward.  So why now?  Despite having various income streams from cells here in the United States, private benefactors, Iran, and Saudi Arabia they’ve never offered this type of ransom.  Add to that the budget shortfalls in their political wing, Palestinian Authority, and it just makes you wonder where they think they’ll get the money.  I’m guessing they think their buddy Barack Obama is going to come through.

Alfred Nobel, inventor of Dynamite, was pretty clear about the criteria for awarding the peace prize bearing his name, it goes, “to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.”  Given those criteria I was surprised that the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to President Barack Obama.  It was awarded by the Nobel committee despite Obama meeting none of Nobel’s criteria by the February 1, 2009 nomination deadline…nor since.  It must have surprised the President too.  In a rare display of truth President Obama said, “I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures honored by this prize.”  Truer words….

Interestingly not everyone thought Obama was undeserving, some noted peaceniks fawned all over Obama.  Fidel Castro, former Communist Military Dictator of Cuba, said that Obama’s award was a “positive measure”.  Ahmed Yousef, deputy foreign minister of (Terrorist Organization) Hamas said, “We congratulate him for this”.  Also offering congratulations was Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei (2005 Nobel Peace Prize) who said “Israel is number one threat to Middle East”.  What a great bunch to have behind you, eh?

Anyway, now that President Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize he’s being considered by a number of other prize committees.  It’s expected that Obama will be presented the following awards in 2009 and 2010:

The Academy Award (Oscar): Obama will be presented the Best Picture Oscar for the autobiographical movie of his life that he intends to someday write, direct, and star in.  Harrison Ford will deliver the trophy to Obama in France.

The Tony Award:  Obama will be presented the Tony for his one-man show based on the memoir he hasn’t written or even conceived of yet.  No word yet if the teleprompter will get a nod.

The Pulitzer Prize: Barack Obama’s unwritten memoir easily gets the next Pulitzer.  I’m still waiting to find out if the Nobel Committee will revise the 2009 Nobel Prize for Literature winners or wait until 2010 to present the award for the unwritten book.

The Grammy Award:  The as yet to be recorded spoken-word version President Obama’s memoir that he hasn’t yet written will also garner the Grammy Award in 2010 even though it’s not expected to hit the shelves for several years – if ever.

The Emmy Award:  Barack Obama’s planned but not yet produced sock puppet show will get the daytime Emmy for Best Daytime Drama by defeating Susan Lucci.  He’ll also get the prime time award for the same show despite it never being shown…ever.

After that who knows?  Will he be awarded the NBA Finals MVP trophy or the Cy Young award?  The Heisman Trophy?  America’s Cup?  He’s just as qualified to win those awards as he is to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Maybe I’m too hard on Obama.  Maybe he’s actually qualified to win one award…the World Magic Award for making democracy and free markets disappear in his own country.

Maybe it’s because I’m getting older, or because I’ve been in the health care field for a while, but I know a lot of people with medical conditions.  I personally know people with chronic pain like debilitating migraines, herniated low back disks, Sciatica, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, Myofascial Pain Syndrome and Fibromyalgia.  I personally know people with heart conditions ranging from Atherosclerosis and Arrhythmia to Cardiomyopathy and Cardiomegaly.  I even know people with auto-immune disorders like Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus.  Same with breathing disorders including COPD and Asthma.  And, Cancer – skin cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and ovarian cancer.  Strangely, none of these “sick” people have lost their health insurance because they were sick.  None.  So, why do I bring it up – President Obama.  President Obama is using the fear of losing coverage due to illness to advance his agenda.

During his September 9, 2009 address to a joint session of the U.S. Congress President Obama said, “More and more Americans pay their premiums, only to discover that their insurance company has dropped their coverage when they get sick,”  and of course that’s not the case.  You would think that the President (a Harvard educated lawyer), or maybe his teleprompter, would know that it’s been illegal for a health insurance company to drop coverage due to illness for over a decade.  Apparently he’s just a liar willing to lie to get what he wants because he compounded the lie with a little story.   He said “One man from Illinois lost his coverage in the middle of chemotherapy because his insurer found that he hadn’t reported gallstones that he didn’t even know about…They delayed his treatment, and he died because of it.”  Except he left out a LOT of that story (lie of omission).  The “man from Illinois” has a name – Otto Raddatz.   Mr. Raddatz did have cancer and did receive chemotherapy as his sister testified about in front of Congress.  Mr. Raddatz did have his insurance canceled – due to failure to report the pre-existing conditions of an aneurysm and gall stones (as required when applying for the policy)…not because he had cancer.  You know what else Obama conveniently left out?  He left out that Mr. Raddatz’s coverage was reinstated pretty quickly and he received a stem cell transplant as scheduled and lived another 3 1/2 years.  He did not die because of health insurance coverage being dropped.  His health insurance coverage wasn’t dropped because he was sick.

Don’t let the fear of losing your health insurance coverage convince you to support President Obama’s unamerican, probably unconstitutional, health care reform.  Insurance companies cannot drop you for being sick, nor can they raise your existing premium rate because you get sick.  People do lose their coverage for three main reasons.  First, they fail to report pre-existing conditions when they apply for a policy.  Second, they move to another state and lose coverage because Federal Law doesn’t allow sale of health insurance policies across state lines…something not corrected in the “reform” bills.  And, Third…they quit paying the premiums.  They do NOT lose coverage due to illness.

Tell your Congressmen and Senators that you know President Obama isn’t telling the truth.  Tell them you know they aren’t telling the truth.  Tell them you don’t like fear mongering.  Tell them now.

President Obama’s Body of Work Not Enough for Honorary Degree

Finally, a liberal has told the truth about President Barack Obama. Strangely, Obama has agreed with them. What truth? The truth, according to ASU’s Sharon Keeler, is “His body of work is yet to come. That’s why we’re not recognizing him with a degree at the beginning of his presidency.” Even though it’s traditional among universities like ASU to present commencement speakers with an honorary degree President Obama won’t get the honorary degree…..because of the truth. Obama himself said “I come here not to dispute the suggestion that I haven’t yet achieved enough in my life,” Obama said in a commencement speech Wednesday. With a smile he added: “First of all, Michelle (Obama) concurs with that assessment. She has a long list of things that I have not yet done waiting for me when I get home.” I really expected this narcissist to submit his curriculum vitae in response.

Yeah, he tried to laugh it off but if a liberal university says he hasn’t done enough to earn an honorary degree what does that say about his qualifications to be President of the United States? That was one of the things I’ve always said about him…he doesn’t have the background or qualifications to run the free (for now) world. Of course most of the Marxists in history had little experience running anything other than their mouths, why should Obama be different?

Oh well, he’s President now but let me leave you with this: ASU has previously honored Erma Bombeck, Hugh Downs, Howard Pyle, Jerry Colangelo, Art Buchwald, and Steve Allen with honorary degrees. Get it?

OMG! I Agree With President Obama!

I know you can’t believe it. I can barely believe it myself. I’m in complete agreement with President Obama for the first time and it scares me. What is it that we agree upon? Let’s look back to Monday 2/9/9.

On Monday, President Obama held a prime time news conference. I don’t hold that against him but in these “tough economic times” I would think that the networks would have benefited from some income from advertisers. Anyway, he’s the President and like others before him he pre-empted one of my favorite shows. Ok, back to my agreement… During that press conference he stated that he had “inherited this recession”. I agree. He did inherit this recession.

HE INHERITED THIS RECESSION FROM THE DEMOCRATIC MAJORITY IN CONGRESS!
All during the presidential campaign we heard about the “Bush Economy” and how out of control government spending was hurting us. We also heard about problems with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Yeah, government spending and Fannie/Freddie are big issues in this recession. But, let’s remember a few things here. First, the “Bush Economy” turned Obama into a millionaire, had growth nearly every year, and had extremely low unemployment. Second, no President of the United States can spend anything other than his own paycheck that isn’t appropriated by CONGRESS…and since the mid-term elections of 2006 Congress had been controlled by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senator Harry Reid and their merry band of Democrats. In other words, George Bush could spend only what Democrats approved. Third, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are overseen by Congressional committees run by…wait for it…Democrats.
Yes, I agree that President Obama inherited this recession, but he inherited it from his own family.

Nancy Pelosi Is Third In Line?

Some things in life and politics are just plain scary. One such example is the idea of the current Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, being third in line to the presidency. Fortunately, it’s just an idea and not necessarily cold, hard reality. I started thinking about this again because I was watching a re-run of “Hannity” on Sunday and heard something interesting from the “Great American Panel” segment.

Sean Hannity had been asking the panel questions about the so-called “Stimulus” bill and was making a point that maybe the government should tighten its belt. One example he gave was the enormous cost of an airplane dedicated for the use of Nancy Pelosi. Never before has the Speaker of the House had a dedicated aircraft. What do you think the token liberal on the panel said? He said that it was appropriate for her to have the aircraft because “she’s third in line to the presidency.”

Wow. That’s seems wrong on so many levels. Yes, I know that theoretically she could be third. But is that a reason to spend several million dollars of taxpayer money each year on an aircraft, crew, maintenance, and fuel? Because she might be third? What about number four – President Pro Tempore of the Senate (Harry Reid)? Number five – Secretary of State (Hillary Clinton)? How about number six in line – Treasury Secretary (tax cheat Tim Geitner)? Where would it stop?

Besides, Nancy Pelosi can only be third in line if both the President and Vice-President die or become incapable of holding office at the same time! This is very clear in the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and 3 USC 19. For instance, if the President were to die in office due to lung cancer from his continued smoking…the Vice-President becomes President automatically. Does that mean that Princess Nancy becomes Vice-President? No, it does not. The Constitution is clear that the new President may choose anyone who is constitutionally eligible to become Vice-President subject to majority vote approval by both houses of Congress. Do you think Joe Biden chooses Pelosi? Yeah, I’m laughing at that one too.

Ok, what if Vice-President Joe Biden died in a horrible Amtrak accident on his way home? Again, the 25th Amendment is clear that the President may choose anyone constitutionally eligible as his new Vice-President. Pelosi? Not a chance.

So, for Nancy Pelosi to become President of the U.S. and have the slimmest of justifications to keep wasting our money on a very expensive, wasteful, and polluting mode of transportation she’d pretty much have to personally stage a coup. Good luck with that Nancy, now ditch the plane.

Is Barack Hussein Obama Eligible To Be President According To The U.S. Constitution?

If you’ve read the United States Constitution you know that in order for anyone to become the President of the United States there are a couple of things you have to be:

1. You must be 35 years old.
2. You must be a natural born citizen of the United States.
3. Be a resident of the United States for 14 years.

It turns out that Senator Barack Obama might not be a natural born citizen of the United States. At least that’s what a lawyer named Philip J. Berg, a lifelong Democrat and supporter of Hillary Clinton, has said in a lawsuit filed in federal court. Haven’t heard of this? Haven’t heard about the lawsuit filed against Barack Hussein Obama and the Democratic National Committee? That’s kinda interesting since the federal judge has said that Mr. Berg does have standing to file the lawsuit and that it’s not frivolous. So why isn’t this on every television and in every newspaper?
