This is just getting too easy.  The hucksters and hoaxers promoting the farce that is Anthropogenic Global Warming are deep in hiding – possibly inside igloos.  Anyone seen Al Gore around?  The esteemed Professor Michael E. Mann, creator of the Hockey Stick Graph in Al Gore’s super exciting slide show?  How about the IPCC’s Drs. Murari Lal or Rajendra Pachauri of Glaciergate infamy?  No, I haven’t seen any of them lately and I’ll bet you haven’t either.  It seems they don’t have anything to say as American cities receive record amounts of snow.

While people like Gore, Mann, Lal and Pachauri are getting paid to peddle their Man-Made Global Warming farce and scumbag politicians plot to take our freedom and money from us based on the farce, cities are getting snowed under.  Baltimore is experiencing record snow fall that’s already nearly 10 inches above the previous mark.  It’s the snowiest winter in Philidelphia history and the snow hasn’t stopped as of this entry.  President Obama’s adopted hometown of Chicago has shattered local records for snowfall.  The nation’s capitol is essentially closed for business (thankfully) due to snow and New York City is under a blizzard watch.  Global Warming indeed.

Despite all the snow and cold temperatures politicians are still ready to pass sweeping “Climate Change Legislation” like the Waxman-Markey bill also known as Cap and Trade (H.R. 2454).  Such legislation cannot combat non-existent Anthropogenic Global Warming and the authors know it.  All it can do is implement a radical environmental agenda that limits your freedom and raises taxes to levels previously unseen.  If you want to live in freedom you’ll get your Congressmen to vote against this legislation.  If you want your kids to be able to keep some of what they earn you’ll tell Congress you don’t want this.

Hamas Offers Reward For Kidnapping Israeli Soldiers

What would you think if the United States was going to give money to a terrorist organization that is offering a reward to anyone who kidnaps a soldier in the military of one of our allies?  Well, that’s pretty much what’s happening.  The Obama administration pledged $900 million to the muslim terrorist organization Hamas who is offering the sum of one million Jordanian dinars (about $400k) to anyone who kidnaps an Israeli soldier and delivers them to Hamas.  It’s a new bounty reported by the Associated Press and repeated online in Deseret News, Jihad Watch, and other websites.

Hamas has asked Arabs in Israel to kidnap Israeli soldiers before but they haven’t previously been known to offer such a reward.  So why now?  Despite having various income streams from cells here in the United States, private benefactors, Iran, and Saudi Arabia they’ve never offered this type of ransom.  Add to that the budget shortfalls in their political wing, Palestinian Authority, and it just makes you wonder where they think they’ll get the money.  I’m guessing they think their buddy Barack Obama is going to come through.

Obama Wants To Halve The Deficit – What About The Debt?

President Obama (PBO) has been talking and talking about cutting the deficit in half over the next four years. His supporters and Democrat Kool-Aid drinkers cheer loudly when the President says things like that…why? All he’s saying is that he’s supporting continued government overspending. Cutting the deficit in half just means that he wants to reduce overspending by half – just half? What about the National Debt? Time for another short civics lesson.

The Deficit

The deficit is the difference between what the federal government spends and the revenue it receives from taxpayers during a particular year. Simply, it’s the government equivalent of writing hot checks. Obama wants to write fewer hot checks but has no plans to pay back the hot checks already written. Why write any hot checks at all?

The Debt

The debt is the difference between all the taxpayer money that our federal government has ever spent and all the revenue that it has ever collected since the birth of our nation. It’s the total of all the annual deficits – all the hot checks government has ever written plus interest, penalties, and bad check fees. Obama has no plan for debt repayment – that will be done by your children.

Instead of cheering President Obama for writing hot checks you should really be pushing him to STOP! The U.S. Taxpayer will eventually have to cover all the deficit spending and repay the national debt that Obama seems to be willing to run up further and further.

Government Money?

I’m so sick of hearing it. On the radio, even on Fox, they talk about companies like Chrysler and GM receiving billions of dollars of “Government Money”. On TV they talk about the massive stimulus bill as billions of dollars in “Government Money”. News Flash: There is no such thing as Government Money.

Once upon a time students in public schools used to learn about how the U.S. Government worked in classes called “Civics” or even “Government”. Apparently I was among the last batch of students to attend one of those classes. So, for the benefit of current and future generations here’s a very short civics lesson:

1. Government has no money of its own;
2. Government gets money from taxes paid by you and from borrowing;
3. It’s only possible for government to borrow money because lenders know government will tax you in order to repay the loan;
4. Whether government taxes or borrows it’s actually your money at stake;
5. The more money government gives to others the more you will eventually have to pay.

It’s really that simple. Class dismissed.

What Should Barack Obama Know About Corporate Taxation?

Ok people, just a short entry here. Senator Barack Obama, the Democratic Party Presidential Candidate, is usually short on substance when it comes to how he will achieve his goals. However, one thing has been pretty consistent – he wants to raise taxes on corporations.

You might think that’s a good thing if you’re into the rich vs poor, Us vs them politics that the Obama campaign is using but I’ll tell you this – Obama has never run a corporation for profit. He hasn’t been a CEO, CFO, or COO. For that matter he apparently hasn’t ever taken high school business or economics. If he had he would have learned a major truth…U.S. CORPORATIONS DO NOT PAY TAXES.

Go ahead and argue the point and you’ll be wrong. Corporations DO COLLECT taxes as directed by the law, and corporations DO SEND that money in to the U.S. Treasury or other governmental agency as required. BUT…they pass that cost on to the consumer. I’ll say it another way. Any tax levied on a corporation is counted as a cost of doing business and any cost of doing business is figured in to the final selling price of the corporation’s product or service. Any raise in taxes on corporations as Barack Obama has repeatedly suggested will raise prices YOU PAY.

That’s right, a tax increase on corporations is a back-door tax ON YOU!
